Kokolas, CPA, is the managing partner of Calibre CPA Group. He has been in public accounting since 1984. Jim has significant experience providing audit and accounting services to the tax exempt community. He has concentrated his career on associations, foundations, charitable and educational organizations, employee benefit funds, labor unions, and membership organizations. Jim is in charge of audits and tax compliance for organizations with annual budgets ranging from $100,000 to over $200 million, and some with assets exceeding $1 billion. In addition to his client service responsibilities, Jim oversees the management of the firm in its daily operations. Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland in 1983. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the District of Columbia and the state of Maryland, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and a former Director of the Institute of Management Accountants, DC Chapter.
