Gomes, CPA Partner / Washington, DC James E. Gomes, CPA, is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Calibre CPA Group. He has been in public accounting since 1998. James has significant public accounting experience with not-for-profit organizations including labor unions, trade and professional associations, charitable organizations, foundations, advocacy groups, and employee benefit funds. He also has experience auditing commercial construction contractors. James has performed numerous audits in accordance with OMB Circular A-133 for organizations receiving Federal Awards and has an intimate knowledge of government grant administrative requirements and cost principles. Mr. Gomes has also performed several forensic, royalty, and operational audits and reviews of various labor unions to determine compliance with present Department of Labor regulations. James serves on the firm’s personnel committee, mentors several of our professional staff, and is involved in the firm’s staff training program. James received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1995.
